And Happy Mother's Day too!.
I love weekends like this one. Nothing rushed, but still some activities and plenty of down time. Stephen had a baseball game where he got two hits. Sam and Daniel can't sit through a whole game so we explored the creek int he park and threw lots of rock in the water and made leaf boats. Worked the baseball snack stand for a while. And then went to The Sellersville Museum where Stephen has his fossil collection. It is the local historical society museum and they did a kids collection weekend where local kids can bring in their collections. Stephen got to have his in a glass case and was so proud of it. Neat to see. A little shopping at Target, trip to subway and we picked up my Mother's day gift....a beautiful sky blue Adirondack chair that I have wanted for a while.
The men at our church put on a wonderful Mother's Day brunch with lots of good food and so that where we started out Mother's day and too be honest with you, the rest of the day has been hanging out at the house sitting in my chair and having some family time. Riding bikes, rollerblading, eating, etc.
I have to mention our pastor's sermon this morning. She started out talking about quantum physics. yes, I know. Weird. She talked about how the light coming through the windows in the sanctuary where photons and how they had traveled billions of miles to become this amazing light that we have. And how they are quantum leaps (didn't quite get this, but I have never been physics minded) She then wrapped the sermon into how all little things are really miracles and with lots of little things they can make a huge beautiful thing. In a strange way it sort of reminded me about how hard losing this weight has been, but doing it in little changes and little steps it will translate into lots of bigger and better things. Good stuff!
